Production: Sound and Music
Seeing that my film really depended on visual appeal and aesthetics, I feel as if music and sounds also plays an important role in my film especially. Luckily, I knew a friend in South Island School who writes and produces his own original songs, which were usually of a mellow, grungy, sad tone. I asked him if I could use some of the tracks he had already posted on SoundCloud in my film and he agreed. He also volunteered to write a specific instrumental piece to my film, which would be a really huge benefit towards my film's final outcome.
Here are the pieces from his SoundCloud that I wanted to include:
Fading Colours (Original) https://soundcloud.com/benjamin-man/fading-colours-original
Lost & Trapped (IB Film Music Composition) https://soundcloud.com/benjamin-man/lost-trapped-ib-film-music-composition
Heart (Original) https://soundcloud.com/benjamin-man/heart-original
UPDATE: MAY 4TH 2016 - I contacted Ben about the instrumental piece and here is the rough version of it.

For sound, I was definitely going to include lots of ambient sound, which I'm going to record myself at the location. During my shoots, I recorded the room tones and other ambient sounds e.g. traffic lights. There will also be dialogue and so for scenes where it includes talking on a phone, I ask the actors to open Voice Memos/Audio Recorder on their phone to record their dialogue as I am filming it at the same time. A lot of my other dialogue will be voiceover as well, so I'll get my actors in a quiet environment and record them.
