Pre-production: Script and Breakdown

I changed my original idea/pitch and developed it into a script, which told the story of a boy (Alex) who is out for the night to kill time as he suffers from depression/anxiety. The girl (Wren), is waiting for her boyfriend for their three month anniversary celebration. They each have their own background and storylines that seem to be linked in a way (e.g. conversations through cross-cutting) but is actually not.

  • Less V.O, more talking - show don't tell

  • Characters need a bit of depth

  • The story/narrative needs developing
